We also have a visitor sign in located in the cafeteria, for those adults who’d like to stay with their students during breakfast.

Breakfast is served in the cafeteria from: 7:45 to 8:00 a.m.

Breakfast cost: $ .75 and $ .25 for reduced

After School Program

We have an exciting opportunity for 60 children after school daily until 6:00!  Our after school program focuses on academic support, physical/social activities and a nutritious snack, this is part of the ASES KidZone program which Bryte had last year.  We are excited to continue with this great experience for students. To add your child to the KidZone waiting list please call the West Sacramento Parks & Recreation Office at 617-4620.  Families will be contacted as space becomes available in each grade.

Our language arts program is Open Court with a tremendous focus on differentiating instruction to meet each student’s needs. We are excited to continue with our math program, Houghton Mifflin “Expressions”. This program has tremendous opportunities for our students to learn in fun and engaging ways! Each student will need a “Homework Partner”. You may begin to decide which adult in their lives will have this great chance to learn more about our math program. At our Back to School Night, you will learn more about this We are continuing with: Every Day Counts Calendar Math. This connects the calendar with math concepts in a fun and rhythmic way.

Parent/Family Opportunities

We have quite a few opportunities to become involved with our Bryte school community. We will need adults interested in serving on our School Site Council and our ELAC/SCE Committee. These two groups provide input and guidance for our school.

New this year—we will be working in partnership with Riverbank Elementary to form a united parent group that will serve our two Bryte/Broderick Schools.

We do require volunteers in the classroom who work with students to have a current Tuberculosis negative results test and fingerprinting. Please get a packet from our office to begin the process of clearance, so you may join your student in the classroom.

Back to School Night

Please reserve August 31st from 4:30-5:30 for our Back to School Night. We will meet in the cafeteria at 4:30 to introduce teachers and staff. Students will attend school for Minimum Day hours in order for teachers to have time to prepare for this event. Riverbank Elementary Back to School Night begins at 5:30.
